How it works
A Supercharger is a device that when fitted to an engine can increase the amount of air delivered to the combustion chamber.
More air means more oxygen and combined with the correct fuel ratio this equates to more power.
To put simply, a 3 litre engine supercharged to double atmospheric pressure (approx 15lb) will have the ability to produce the power of a 6 litre engine yet retain the economy of a 3 litre engine under normal cruising conditions.
You can effectively double the power output of any given engine.
Supercharging is the best form of performance enhancement for any vehicle ensuring big power gains, excellent economy and smooth responsive drivability.

In order to avoid any possible damage while installing your turbocharger or premature operating problems, either of which could invalidate the warranty, Rage Automotive take the following steps:
Check vary carefully that there is not foreign material in either the air intake or exhaust system, even the smallest fragment have the potential to cause serious damage at the high operating speeds of the modern turbocharger.
It is important that the turbocharger centre, turbine and compressor housings are correctly orientated before final fitting. If the bolts, lock tabs or V-bands are loosened to achieve this check that all mating flanges are correctly reseated and that all service manual torque settings are adhered to when making final rigid connections.
All the relevant air, oil and exhaust gaskets are replaced when the turbocharger is fitted. It is important to use the correct new gaskets in all cases, and never use sealing compounds at any turbocharger oil connection.
The engine oil and filter are also be changed, using oil that is specified for turbocharged engines.
Before connecting the turbocharger oil feed hose, we check for any restriction resulting from oil carbonisation, then fill the oil inlet port to overflow with clean oil.
Let the engine run at idle speed for a minimum of 3 minutes after installation. This will prevent possible damage to the bearing system due to oil delay, and have the effect of purging the system of any residual contaminants.
